Small pores?

Whats the best way to reduce the size of pores without makeup?Small pores?
http://www.biore.com/usa/index.asp?fp=1

It really helps.Small pores?
Minimize Your Pores

Your Daily Regimen: Folow these steps in the morning to make pores look smaller. (Do your usual cleaning at night.)

step 1: CLEANSE

LOOK FOR an oil-free, deep-cleansing wash to remove dirt and oil. Keeping pores clean will prevent them from getting bigger.

step 2: SCRUB

LOOK FOR a scrub that has salicylic acid to loosen the deep layers of dead skin and oil that can stretch out your pores.

step 3: PROTECT

LOOK FOR SPF 30 lotion to protect skin from the sun (its rays break down collagen, which can make pores bigger over time).

step 4: MATTIFY

LOOK FOR a mattifying gel with salicylic acid to soak up oil so it won't sit in your pores. The gel disguises large pores too!

FYI: It will take three months to notice a difference in your skin, so be patient and stick with the regimen.

another neat trick is by putting an ice cube on your pores. itll minimize it and its relaxing too. its temporary though. but doesnt hurt to try. and it works too!
wash your face 2 times a day and keep it fresh and clean
You need to use a mask, mint julep mask is great for this it has bentonite clay in it which will close your pores up really nice.First cleanse your face using hot water to get those pores really opened then blot it dry and apply the mask, wait 15 minutes rinse with cold water and you will be surprised at the immediate results. You can pick that up at a drug store,or sally's beauty supply, its like 5 dollars for a great sized jar. Use it a couple days a week.
a scrub or those pore strips work well.

    Large pores OR blackheads??!?

how do i tell the difference between blackheads and large pores? i know dumb question...lol. but i cant really tell.Large pores OR blackheads??!?
Squeeze them and find out. Seriously, black heads are dirt in your pores and they look dirty.Large pores OR blackheads??!?
    black heads are little
    blackheads have little black dot

    LARGE pores around my noes!!!?

I have like clusters of large pores around my noes. Non of my friends do. I use clean and clear face wash and clean and clear oil-free face lotion. Then I have some Nutrigina (I know i spelled it way wrong) face lotion to, also oil-free. I use lotion and wash my face twice a day. Why do I still have HUGE pores though around my noes? They are in like clusters of 10 on each side of my noes!!! :(LARGE pores around my noes!!!?
Start off with kind of warm water and then when you're washing your face cleanser off, switch to colder. I think that does it. And then pat dry with a towel.

    Close pores?

how do you close open pores? what exfoliators are good? I want some brands...Close pores?
Biore Pore Strips work pretty good for pulling all the excess gunk out of pores, but I dont think they're a very good idea for dry skin, I have super oily skin and makes my nose flaky. Neutrogena has a pore refining cleanser... and it works really well. It has AHA acids (or something like that) in there... if you have dry skin though it might dry you out... if you're concerned about your makeup sinking into pores, makeup primer is a really good idea. Clarins have a really good primer, I don't know the for sure name of it off-hand, but it comes in a red little tub. Hope this helps ya out a bit :)Close pores?
Go to on-line and do a Yahoo search for Bee-Luscious Cosmetics and get their Papaya Enzyme Cleaner and the Papaya Enzyme Toner (both are all natural). Use those two to clean your skin with. Then use their Pore Minimizing Toner to close your pores. You need to clean the skin with the first two products first or you will only trap the dirt and grime in your pores and cause break outs. If you think you need to exfoliate they have an Exfoliating Enzyme Scrub that contains papaya.
Exfoliation only removes dry dead surface skin. It will brighten your complexion, but not reduce the appearance of pores.

You can reduce the appearance of pores by using a toner after you wash. Nothing can 'close' pores, they are there for a reason, and you are stuck with the skin you have.

There are skin therapies (like pulsed light therapy, some laser treatments) which will actually reduce pore size, but they are only performed in high end skin salons and cost a bundle.
    FACIAL AT THE SPA
Once a week I wash my face and eye area with very hot water and baby wash to open my pores then I apply a cucumber melon peel off mask after I peel it off I wash my face again to remove it traces of the mask then I use a mild astringent. To close my pores after my face has been clean I fill a sink with Ice water and immerse my face in it. I pat it dry with a towel and apply a light moisturizer I like Mary Kay

    Shaving-pores?

one of my friends has pores on her legs due to shaving, which has made her extremely self-concious about showing her legs, any way to fix that? also, if a girl is about to start shaving, is there something she can do to make sure she doesnt get those pores and black dots?Shaving-pores?
~ wax or use a depilatory cream! and moisturize! ~Shaving-pores?
a good vitamin E Cream will be good for your friends legs. Rub it in 2 times a day, and always after showering. She may need to get a different razor for shaving with, one that does not force you to cut your legs while shaving, and tell her when she is shaving she should not have to press the razor hard into her leg, this will more than likely cause her to get cut by the razor, leaving even more marks on her skin.
tell her to wax her legs and apply aloevera gel

    Clogged pores... eww!?

You think I'm exaggerating? Ha. Well, that's funny. If I were to post a picture, you would not say that. I won't, though. My camera's broken. Now, I need to get rid of the clogged pores all over my nose. Here are the terms:

    ~I don't have money for a facial

~I don't want to use pore strips

~I don't want to cover them up any more

~I need to do it at home

Please help me. My skin feels so dirty! Yes, I wash it regularly. Yes, I went to a dermotologist. Yes, I use sunscreen and moisturizer.

I also have a few pimples. My normal remedies arn't working. Any help you could give would be great, and to anyone that says ';sux 4 u!'; let me say right now 'screw you' to those people.

    Thanks helpful people!Clogged pores... eww!?
Ohhh, honey, I feel for you...I have the same exact problem. But my mom taught me this and it will totally help you out: Just cut a lemon in half (even half a lemon is too much) and rub it all over your nose, chin, etc. (or wherever your blackheads are) Trust me, it will AT LEAST make your spots cleaner. I usually do it about 3 times a week or so, but I guess you could do it as much as you need to. I really hope this helps you, because I know how dreadful it is.... =/ Best of Luck!!Clogged pores... eww!?
boil some water and let the steam hit your face then right after that was your face really good
Do you drink lots of water, eat fresh fruit/veggies? With that in place, you need a good skin care regimen which requires a bit more than sunscreen (which may be a contributor to the clogged pores) and moisturizer. Email me at nesa23us@yahoo.com, I believe I have a solution for you.

fill your sink or a bowl up with boiling water, then put your face 1/2 inch or so from the bowl and put a towl over your head so the heat goes straight to your face.

when you're sweating pretty good wash your face with warm water, then snap your pores shut by rinsing your face with cold water.

if that doesn't clear your pores, i don't know what will.

how to do make up so it wont show?!

    [prom tomorrow night]

also how to make my face not get all shiny after a few hours

[no, i cannot go out and buy makeup...so don't suggest a product]

i need your beauty tips!Huge pores!!!?
You have large pores cuz you do not clean your face well enough, first you first use warm/hot water, then switch it to cold water to open and close your pores to prevent acne, greasiness, and large pores.

but wash your face with a good pore minizer cleanser, like Biore Pore cleanser. They are meant for large and small pores, any type of pores.

really good...you can get it at wal-mart for the cheapest price but works...Huge pores!!!?
Start with a homemade mask to tighten your pores:

Egg and Honey Skin Firming Mask

Mix one egg with one tablespoon of honey and one tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. Cover your face with a layer of the mixture and let it dry for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then cool water. The egg tightens the pores and tones the skin. The honey moisturizes and softens while treating acne and cleansing the skin.

As far as keeping the shine down, blotting periodically with blotting papers (if you have them) or a bit of toilet tissue throughout the night will help absorb oil without ruining your makeup. Don't overdue the powder as that can exacerbate the problem.
try to steam your face under boiling water. (if you cant buy a product try doing it under a stove?....carefully)

and after your face is all steamed out rnse it with cold water to close the pores
u seem like you are very self concious about your loooks. u shudnt care so much wats on the outside. anyways try steaming your face
after cleaning ur face use cold water or if you can a cold pack on ur face to close the pores. As for stopping ur face from getting shiny try translucent powder use a cotton pad to pat it on over ur foundation so it can be seen then use a blush brush to take off the excess before u apply blush and eyeshadow.

ask someone u know if they have translucent powder u could borrow.

don't forget to use moisturizer before putting on foundation :D
Make sure that you exfoliate...if you have any dead skin on the surface it will line the pores and make them darker and it will also build up around the edge of the pores which will also make them seem larger...there are a lot of homemade sugar scrubs...

    Clogged pores?

steam your face...over a bowl of hot water with a towel over your head....then use a facial scrub like apricot scrub.

also, i use these little exfoliating pads from the body shop..clears your skin up.

hello u shud get a gud steam facial cleans owt all the dirt %26amp; iz v relaxing x x
    this may sound weird

but this is what i do

    and it totally works

    use pantene shampoo.

every night before you go to bed

wet your face then dry it

then get the pantene and scrub it all over your face and let it stay on your face until you see that the shampoo [like the foam] is starting to go away means its desolving into your skin which is making your pores cleaner

    then wash it off.

    Steamed Pores???? Help pleze?

I have water boiling right now, and i have like little bumps on my face that you see only close up.but i would like for them to be completely gone, im caramel skined, and i want it away...so what do i do after i steam my face with the water???Steamed Pores???? Help pleze?
What I would do is use a mild face wash everyday along with a toner and once a week use a beaded one once a week use brands with pore refinerSteamed Pores???? Help pleze?
    Those are called Pores.

i have some thing better then steaming your face :)

i buy these nose strips from the brand Biore

i buy them at walmart. they are miracle workers! my face was

all full of dirty big pores and now my face is clean and smooth.

all you have to do is read the instructions and your good to go!
well the steam is going to open up your pores, so if i were u i would scrub my face with a beaded face wash, and then rinse with cold water to close your pores back.
use a really good scrub and then moisturize.
Patience...you want them to go away, if only life were that easy.

I would suggest maybe a gentle exfoliating facial wash %26amp;/or a skin mask will help.

Just don't go sqeezing with your nails as you will end up with more than little bumps, you will have broken capillaries which will not go away.

    Enlarged pores? help please!!!?

i have enlarged pores on my face, and i still have acne. is there any way to gte rid of the enlarged pores in my face? or will i just have to deal with them?Enlarged pores? help please!!!?
Try using Biore pore minimizing products and Queen Helene Mint Julep Face Mask. It's cheap and it really tightens up your pores!Enlarged pores? help please!!!?
Try to find a exfoliating cleanser that is safe to use everyday. Wash your face twice day and night. This will clean your pores to remove dirt and help close your pores.

Use a toner, which helps tighten your skin and pores.

A suitable moisturizer that is suitable for your skin type.

    This will prevent acne also.
You can't get your pores to totally go away but you can get them smaller. Here are some home recipes!

    Papaya mask/exfoliant

Cut papaya in 1 inch chunks. Blend/mash 2 or 3 chunks and store the wrest in the freezer. Apply the blended/mashed papaya and leave on face for 10-20 min. Use 2 or 3x a week.

The papaya may tingle but that just means that the papaya is working and it is breaking down dead skin cells to give that lovely glow and since it breaks down the dead skin it clears out the pores and in turn they shrink!!! (You may not see the results you want until you use it for a while.)

    Egg white mask

    1 egg white

    1 tsp. cornstarch

Beat ingredients. Apple to face, let dry 10-15 min. Rinse.

(Tightens pores. Makes you look like you got a mini face lift!!)

    Baking soda microdermbrasion/exfoliant recipe

Make a paste with baking soda and water, then gently rub on face and rinse.

    Sea salt glow (my favorite!)

Make a paste using olive oil, fresh lemon juice or water to moisten the sea salt. Apply to face and gently rub skin, rinse.

(olive oil is good for dry or normal skin, lemon juice is better for oily or acne prone skin and water can be used for whichever.)

    Clay Facial mask

Choose the right clay for your skin type. (French-oily-acne, bentonite-normal, cosmetic or white-any, kaolinite pink-normal-combo, kaolinite white-dry-mature, kaolinite red-sensitive. Add plain water or floral waters or try wetting agents such as fruit purees . Make a thick paste of the clay. Apply the mask to your skin and let it dry for 20 minutes. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry. Repeat weekly. ( I use french clay)

You can buy some of the clays here:

    http://www.hjresources.com/kaylaspa/

    Hope this helps!!!

What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

    http://www.17acnetreatments.com

    Hope this helps :)
try Bipour by Biotherm (I think that's how you spell it). anyways, it's called a pore minimizing serum kind of thing, though it's actually a gel.

I think it's quite good. You really only need a little bit.
theres nothing u can do to decrease the size of pores, only make them look smaller with certain oil de-clogging products sorry

my pores stay clogged end i wash it every dday and night with clinique. its the best product of all i tried. but i dont know why they stay clogged is it genetics?Clogged pores ???
You are using a good product (twice a day??)

Before you do it tomorrow (or tonight) take a very warm clean wash cloth and apply it to your face - repeat (extra warmth from the micro) and wash do you follow with the toner?

Once a week do a deep cleaning pore mask and twice a week exfoliate - keep doing it - you should see some results.

I used to use Clinque but switched to Arbonne it's really helped.Clogged pores ???
Biore makes a cleanser...I think it's called Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser. After using it for about a month, I still have some clogged pores, but it has really helped a lot.
Oily skin and sebum production is genetic. I have oily skin also. All I can say is Bior茅 Strips work like a charm, but be warned, please, that they can produce spider veins on clear skin..... I quit using them after about 3 times because the traction breaks small capillaries in your skin, close to the surface, and clogged pores are more attactive -- and less permanent -- than those.
I have clogged pores as well, mainly on my forehead. The only thing that keeps them at bay is Proactiv. I've tried nearly every other cleaner out there and I can get them clean after I wash and tone, but they are right away clogged again. With Proactiv, it cleans them out much more completely and then with the refreshing lotion that you put on last, it kind of sits in your pores and protects them, but its a good kind of clog :)

But before giving a recipe of homemade pore strip for your clogged pores on nose, I鈥檇 like to give some hints on your daily skin care:

1.Use only medicated cleansing remedies for your pores, blackheads and acne.

2.Do not go out without applying a foundation or defense cream on your face. Remember pores are clogged with sebum (oil), and turn into blackheads on contact with air.

3.Never skip even a day while following an anti-pore and anti-acne treatment skin care routine.

    Homemade Pore Strip Recipe

This is super easy, super cheap and super effective remedy should be used by everyone to unclog their pores on nose from time to time.

    You'll need:

    1 pack of knoxx gelatin,

onion skin paper (better the thin type for more effective results,

    hot water.

    Preparation:

Mix the gelatin in a 1-3 tablespoons of hot water to get a paste like honey. I sould not be too thick or too runny. You can put a bowl of hot water under it to keep the same consistency.

Then spread a thin layer of that mixture onto the onion skin paper and apply it to your nose blackheads like a mask. Let it dry, and gently peel the strip.
oh, people said that it works reallly really well

they tried stuff like proactiv but it didnt work, until they used biore unclogging scrub.

This is what helps me..about 2 times a week, I will like dunk my face in hot water as long as I can stand it, then do it again....this opens up pores a lot! then I apply a deep cleaning mask ( I got this mint julip kind at sally beauty supply-works for me!) I ussually leave it on at least twice as long as it says to... then I rinse it off and dunk my face in very cold water as long as I can stand it, then I do that again! It takes a while, but I have VERY oily skin and big pores especially on the cheeks around my nose and on my chin, and this really helps um look smaller, and be less oily. I would probably do it every night if I had more time! Good luck!Large pores?

    hi

I would advice you to try some home based remedies for skin ,hair and weight problems, this link has some good information it sure did help me so here goes,

    http://tinyurl.com/m6kcr

    good luck
You should use a deep cleanser, a pore minimizing mask, and then follow up with a pore minimizing astringent/toner. Your pores will love you for this! A more natural way? Perhaps cleanse your face, and use cold water, and use lemon or lime as a toner. This will also make your pores appear a lot smaller.
Pores open in extreme heat and close in colder temperature. That's why to clean them you're first supposed to use hot water and then after you're done use ice cold water to close them so they won't get as dirty... That's the odd ritual some people couldn't figure out Ms. Crawford was doing in Mommy Dearest... so to answer use colder water and they'll look a whole lot smaller... :)
Get facials , if your on a budget go to a beauty school , the students are watched by instructors and your pores will be cleansed and prepared to be extracted and over a period of time your pores will appear to be smaller. Follow a home care routine and always cleanse your face before you go to bed!
Spackle. just kidding. not sure on that one girl.
    use good astringent

    Stretched pores?

Does anyone know of any good creames or techniques that can help close stretched or wide pores in the 't-zone' area as ive cleared some of the black heads on my nose and now the pores have been left open and look awful and i know if i dont sort them out now im young then wehn i grow up it will look dreadful.

    Thanks xStretched pores?
Find a good regime and stick to it (AM and PM) exfoliate twice a week and do a weekly mask.

Before you wash face apply a wash rag (hot and heat in micro) don't burn yourself.

You need a toner (witch hazel) or go see Clinique

they make a great mens line as does Arbonne.

Give witch hazel a try, it does stink, but it works miracles! :-)
apply egg white ,3 coats for one application (another coat soon after the previous coat was dried up)...

eggwhite make the skin tight..by tightning the pores...

soon after u had ur shower..pat some cold water over the face..it contracts the pores...
Try and get a prescription of retin-A. It will make your pores smaller over time. use moisturizers while using it!!
Being a woman of color with a bad skin problem in the past. PROACTIVE works
    when u take a shower

    before u get out

turn the water on cold like ice cold

and let it go on your face

it will close them a bit

or at least it does for me
These are the masks that I use for my large pores. They look so much better since I started using these recipes.

    Big pores? ?

what can i do to make them smaller and less noticable?Big pores? ?
there is no way to make them smaller

    i know it sucks

but you can make them less noticible

Biore has a pore minimizing line that works really well

    i have huge pores

and i use Biore Pore Minimizing Foaming Face Wash

it makes them look so much smaller

keep your pores unclogged too that will help

putting lemon on your face and letting it dry for 10 minutes also tightens pores

don't shower with really hot water it makes them biggerBig pores? ?
Try using a toner. Or a pore refining face wash and cream.
    I think toner should help.
Pores are a genetic thing and you really cant do anything to change that...I am an esthetician and have large pores are a great plus...you will not wrinkle very much...

putting lemon and such things to try to change things will only cause breakouts since the oil will not be able to be secreted properly...

keeping your skin clean and drink LOTS of water to hydrate your skin...is a perfect way to bring balance and prevent your pores from enlarging with dirt...and even so when you wash the dirt away the pore will return to its natural shape...so be glad...those of us with tiny pores will show our age... also you are the only one who sees your pores as a problem...unless you are going around telling people that you think your pores are too big...learn to be happy with who you are...
wash your face with rose water or put some lemon juice on your pores for 10 min good luck

    Pore you!
    don't be so shallow
wash your face more often, like use soaps and stuff for your face.
    Just keep them clean.

By the way, they probably only ';look really huge'; because you're 1) seeing them up close in the mirror and 2) are fixating on them. Unless by ';huge'; you mean they're more than an 1/8th of an inch in diameter, I doubt that anyone else is even noticing them.

    Again, just keep them clean.
    They cant be that big...
rub an ice cube on your face
    proactiv!!
    shower regularly.
hellooo... never took the time to do this but ive heard that if you take juice from a lemon and put it on your knose the pores will slowly shrink. do this especially when you pop the black heads.
Don't use make-up, you want less stuff in your pores, not more. Ice cold water may help, wash your face more, microdermabrasion pads, clean and clear pore scrub, and toner.

    Hope this helped !

Large Pores Treatment - Home remedies

    SUGAR SCRUB

Ingredients: 1 Tablesoon each of sugar, olive oil and honey.

Wet face, apply scrub by rubbing very gently in a circular motion. Remove with water with hands only.

    EGG WHITE MASK

Mix 2 egg whites with a few drops of lemon juice. Apply on face and leave on for 5-7 minutes, then rinse with hands.

Note: As egg whites dry, they linghten the skin and pull debris out of pores. Lemon is a natural fruit acid which also helps to exfoliate.

Or you may try the following to treat large pores

    1) Mix almond meal with enough water to make a paste. Apply to pores for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then apply withch hazel or a solution of apple cider vinegar and water.

    2) Mix table salt and buttermilk into a paste, apply on enlarged pores and massage well. Rinse with warm water.

    3) Add lemon juice and a little milk to oatmeal. Apply the paste and remove after 20 minutes with water. Do not use if there are eruptions.

    Tips on reducing large pores

Stop using harsh toners or astringents on the affected areas. Using these products may have a very temporary 'tightening' effect on pores, but it's extremely short-lived. In fact, harsh astringents actually encourage oil glands to over-produce oil, leading to an increase in the size of pores.

Avoid putting moisturiser on the area as the skin produces quite enough moisture and oil on its own and doesn't need more.

Makeup tips to hide the appearance of large pores

Heavy foundations will draw attention to your large pores. So, stay with a sheer, light and oil free foundation.

Apply foundation, concealer, powder and blusher in a downward motion, otherwise you'll accentuate pores by pushing colour up and into them.

    Steam your face weekly

    =)
I've had great luck with the Proactive mask. (You don't have to have acne to use it)

Another (homemade) mask is to dissolve about 6 asprin with a bit of water to make a paste. Add a bit of lotion or honey or another favorite mask. Leave for 20 mintues. This exfoliates which helps empty pores and makes them close up. Finish with a cold water rinse.
you could try covering them up with makeup or something

    Large pores??

how can u reduce the size of large pores??like any cleansers or just washing my face alot and using a toner?or what?Large pores??
large pores cannot be reduced, but they can be temporarily reduced:

-firming masks usually help (Serious Skin care firming mask)

-keep them clean by getting facials

-use a toner to close pores (Mario Badescu glycolic toner )

    -use blotting papers

-use serums that help keep the face firm (Elizabeth Arden Good Morning Serum)

Most people dont understand is pores stretch as you age, its a sign of aging, because skin starts to sag, so what you have to do is use anti-aging products even if you are young or have oily skin, make sure they are oil free products or doesnt cause breakouts. I had large pores too. I have been using glycolic acid products and they seem to be helping, and I'm also less oily. When I get a facial, i ask them to use glycolic products. My pores are pretty small now.

If you want, you can go to the drugstore and get a facial mask. It has quicker results, but you can also wash your face in cold water and get ice and rub it all over your face. And when you shower, try not to use hot water. Keep it as cold as you can and then your pores will be better in the long run.Huge pores,?

Burt's Bees tomato toner. Works wonders.
Splashes of cold water will shrink your pores. Warm weather, sweat, and warm water (among other things) will cause your pores to appear larger.
well, i see by your avatar that you are a guy. But biore products work wonders on your face. Use the pore/blackhead strips on your nose (you put them on, wait 15 mins, then peel it off) it takes off blackheads and shrinks the pores. Also, there is a face wash and cream for face that also shrinks pores with regular use. It is about $7 per product at most drugstores (I get mine from walmart)

    don't worry..

u just apply white of the egg and leave it dry..and wash it by normal water.. don't use soap to wash.. ok..

do this once a week.. it really shrinks..

    no side effect..

    cheers...Shrinking pores...?
You can't shrink your pores. You can make them appear smaller by using an exfoliant like an over-the-counter glycolic peel or exfoliant (L'Oreal and Olay make good ones). Try a pore minimizing gel, which you wear under your makeup. Also, wear a foundation that is labeled illuminating or brightening, because they have little particles in them that reflect light and make your skin look better. I use Velvet Touch from DHC as a pore minimizer, and I really like the Ulta brand brightening foundation, but you can find these types of products at any drug or department store sold by various companies.
Use astringent after you wash your face. There is also pore shrinking face wash. I'm not sure who makes them but you can get them at your local cvs or walmart.
    pores dont shrink darlin

    Unclogging pores.?

What are the best methods/products to use for unclogging blocked up pores? Mine have seemed to be getting worse in the past few weeks.Unclogging pores.?
ok, so about a month ago I ahd the same problem. I had mild acne, blackheads and tons of clogged pores. and I was like help!

1st. there is absolutely no way you can unclog your pores without an exfoliant. you cannot squeeze the stuff out, cannot pick it out...etc.

ok so I bought this product http://www.amazon.com/Alpha-Hydrox-Glyco鈥?/a>

and I absolutely love it! omg it works so well. because it has aha's in it, or alpha hydroxy acids, they exfoliate your pores and get rid of the pore colgging and you will never ever have clogged pores again when u use this stuff becuse it speeds up the exfoliation of skin cells or whatever.... lol but its really good! just be prepared to pay alot, but its worth it. beauty is worth the price you pay, right?Unclogging pores.?
This sounds strange, but I like to take the opposite side of my tweezers and run it along my nose, cheeks etc. It really clears them out nicely. After, I make sure to exfoliate, tone and moisturize.

theres only one product that can fix those pores! ... Cleanser!

what you do is go to the body shop and ask them for a natural cleanser that will best help your skin.

Then once you get home have a very steamy shower because warm steamy water helps open up those pores and also helps minimize them. Then apply your cleanser.

once done that apply cold water onto your face to help close your pores. Doing this helps minimize your pores and let your face breath.

i would suggest doing this about 3 times a week. Doing it everyday will take away your natural oils.

i hope i helped and good luck! =)

Yeah, turns out, there are plenty of other options. I didn't have to take birth control pills, my eyes have plenty of water, and My skin has never been clearer, I wish I had gone years ago.

You unfortunately can't change the size of your pores (no matter what commercials say). To reduce the appearance, if you don't want to use products, try streaming your face over a sink or bowl of very hot water. After about 5-10 minutes, gently press on the areas that seem clogged. Something might come out, and once that happens, your pores won't seem so large. When done, press a cool washcloth over your whole face.

    Pores: Open or Closed?

    Half of acne medicine says something like; ';opens your pores and soothes them so they can breathe';

    The other half says ';closes your pores so oils can't get in and cause blockages';

Which of these philosophies is correct, is acne caused by the pores being open or by the pores being closed?Pores: Open or Closed?
Pores cannot close. They're just open. Salicylic acid dissolves the oil on your skin. Benzoyl peroxide kills the bacteria that's lying on your skin. Pores cannot breathe. They don't have lungs.Pores: Open or Closed?
actually, neither, your pores dont open and close, hen dirt builds up in your pores they can appear to be ';open'; and when they are clean can appear to be ';closed'; however they really do not open and close

well am alllways scared to use powder and liquid foundation caz i kinda feel like they will block my pores and gives me pimples or just make my face look disgusting so any sugjuctions on what should i use ????Does liquid foundation block ur pores ??
I suggest BareEssentials. Its a natural makeup which is in powder form and does not clog pores!Does liquid foundation block ur pores ??
You should use a refreshner or wash your face with cold water (It closes your pores) And then you wear can wear foundation.

    =]
    Try to use loose powder
    NO, if

1] you buy non -comedogenic [ doesn't cause zits, or clog pores ] makeup -

    labeled on package

2] you wash it off every night
dont worry, get some non cosmotogenic or w.e liquid foundation, it means it dosnt block your pores. try not using powder. but if you dont want to use liquid, invest in bare minerals. its worth the money, its amasssinng. you get it at sephora, and they have a discount on a kit, its normally 200$+, but its only 60$! its worth the money!
Cosmetic products and sunblocks can clog pores. The key is that you througly remove makeup and suncreen before going to bed every night. Remove makeup with a makup remover and then wash your face with a foam cleanser to make sure there is no remaining makeup. If you have oily skin, choose a liquid foundation for oily skin.
It really depends if you pour it on or not if wear a lot too much that you look like plastic yes wear just enough no.

Liquid works better but take it off every night otherwise yes it will.
The liquid foundation might clog your pores a little bit so if you wear it, make sure to take it off once you get home.

But it won't give you pimples and the powder won't clog up your pores at all.

Trust me, once you start using foundation you'll never want to be without it.

    Hope this helped! = )
It depends on the foundation, cheaper foundations use oils, bismuth and talc as fillers. Bismuth is also added to give some of the cheaper make-up that ';glow';. It is also used in many of the mineral foundations including Bare Minerals the talc and bismuth can clog pores on many women.

The one I recommend is the Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation by Bee-Luscious. It has no oils. No bismuth and no talc. When combined with their primer it will stay on at least 15 hours without becoming cakey or rubbing off.

Foundation makes my face feel ';cakey'; and makes me break out. I just use conclear under my eyes to hide dark circles and just powder on the rest of my face and I don't have nearly any skin problems

    Oily skin no small/no pores?

my skin is oily on my forehead and especially my nose, but when i went to the store H2O, the lady who worked their said i don't have oily skin because i don't have large pores...but you can clearly see the shiny and greasiness on my face

so is it possible to have no pores but oily skin? thanks

    btw i'm 15Oily skin no small/no pores?
you have combination skin...b/c the only oily spots are forehead and nose...and i have the same thing and very small pores..so yes you can

    Pores on chest??

the pores on my chest ae really huge and i hate them how can i get them smaller?Pores on chest??
you can't really shrink pores but you can keep them clean and healthy and maybe make them appear smaller by cleansing with a little baking soda and tea tree oil then using a ph balancer/toner/astringent of one part apple cider vinigar and three parts cool water.Pores on chest??
    Put cream on it,shower daily
As an Esthetician, I know for a fact that your pores can never become smaller. You have either oily or combination skin type which we are born with and it never changes. But if your pores are clogged they APPEAR to be larger. You need to exfoliate the area every other day. This will help get off the dead skin and clean out those pores. Skin Ceuticals has a great body scrub. Otherwise try oil of olay facial scrubs. Also try getting a facial done. They work on your declate (chest) area as well. Good luck!
scrubb it gently with water daily during shower and put cream =P

    Pores on face?

i have had these open pores on my nose and both sides at the top of my cheeks for a long time ive tried everything but i cant seem to close them i dont think theres any dirt in there ive tried pore strips face marks steaming my face having a facial does anyone else have the problem or know a solutionPores on face?
I have the same problem, I think it's pretty common. =( I've gone to the beautician and she gave me a deep cleansing session which really helped, as I had blackheads on my nose. I also try to cleanse, tone and moisturize (I use Nivea Visage Young products) and that helps as well. Good luck!Pores on face?

    good luck
use dead sea products facial wash and facial exfoliant on www.sahara-secrets.com and you will see the results after 2 times using the products u will have healthy skin and will clean your skin deeply and you can also put ice on your skin after cleansing

I've used Clinique pore refining cream which is quite good. But I haven't found anything good enough yet :(

    It's very frustrating isn't it.
Everyone has pores, if yours are large try using a clay mask at your local drug store. Toners also work great, Clinique has the best.
I'd really like to know the answer to this too. At first I thought they were blackheads, but when I steamed and splashed cold water over them they disappeared...but only for an hour or so...
    cold water closes pores
Put foundation over them. This will cover up the holes that are bothering you.

  • Pores on my nose!!!?

they always have stuff in them... after i wash too.idk how to make these black things go away. i just usually pop them with my fingers, but they always come back. help! what do i do?Pores on my nose!!!?
Biore strips are great for blackheads. You put one on your nose for 15 minutes and they pull right out.Pores on my nose!!!?
you need to exfoliate your nose. try the biore scrubs. i love them. they feel nice when you done you get a tingly sensation. or try those nose strips.
The ';black things'; are called blackheads. lol. Anyways. Really that's all you can do unless you go to dermatologist.Which I recommend!!
Exfoliate. Um...pimple cream (Clearasil...that sort of stuff) can help keep them un-pimpled....but, yeah, blackheads are a pain. Exfoliating is probably the only way I can think of right about now...
get those black head strips they work bomb

    Pores..blackheads..?

What can you do about blackheads or clogged up pores? I have neutrogena pore refining cleanser and it doesn't seem to help at all, I also have a acne toner with salic acid.Pores..blackheads..?
Blackheads are caused by partially blocked pores. The ';black'; appearance of them is not caused by dirt, but by the oxidising effect of air on the sebum (oil) in a blocked pore and the melanin pigment from the dead skin cells.

The best way to get rid of blackheads is to remove the cause of them 鈥?excessive sebum (oil) and dead skin cells. Use only products made with natural ingredients that are not too astringent. Harsh products can strip the skin of oil, causing it to produce more sebum which leads to more blocked pores. Don't be afraid of using cleansing products containing natural oils, such as jojoba or coconut oil to cleanse the skin. These oils are close to our natural oils, so they don't block the pores. Use a gentle exfoliator every day to remove dead skin cells so they don't block pores. Just remember to be very gentle, over exfoliation can exacerbate the problem. Avoid products containing the following: alcohol, isopropyl mystate, lanolin, sodium lauryl sulphate, sodium laureth sulphate, propylene glycol, mineral oil and parabens.

Do not to try and extract them forcibly, either using your fingers, fingernails or a comedone (blackhead) remover. This can cause permanent damage to the pores and stop them working properly for ever. You may squeeze some of the blackhead out, but you could also force some of it even deeper into the skin, which may lead to infection (large spots, pimples or even cysts) or permanent damage. Touching your skin should generally be avoided to prevent cross infection.Pores..blackheads..?
Clinque has a good pore minimizing that works well it cleans them out and then makes them smaller at the same time.
    i use proactive it works!!
try cleansers that are especially for blackheads and dont clogg your pores. clean and clear blackhead cleanser is one.
you should make face scrubs once or twice a week...
I use AcneFree Clear Skin treatments it really works and the doctors even say it's better than proactive! Plus u can get it @ stop and shop or walgreens any store like that it's 20 dollars
There's not much you can do. I mean, you could waste money to try out the latest fad cream which Hollywood claims (and stands by) that will take away your skin problems, but the sad truth is, there isn't a 'magic bullet. Your body usually has the answer to your problems, and with time, fixes itself. But this creams and whatnot contain hidden and sometimes *unknown* chemicals which can either aggravate or make your symptoms even worse.

    And you'd be wasting money.

If you have pimples and blackheads, it's usually a sign of both physical and emotional stress--and not something you've ate.

I've found that if I'm stressed out a lot, I break out in the worse way imaginable. Skin cremes and such don't help my cause any, so I don't buy them.

Once the stress has passed, my body heals, and I look normal in a few weeks.
Use clearasil ULTRA in the shower, when u wake up, and before bed. also make sure u don't sleep with makeup on . . . it can cloge pores. the clearsil ultra stuff really does work in just 3 days. also there is a cream u can put on before ur make and before bed.
try proactive, mi friends say it really works!!!
Okay, make sure to get cetaphil cleansing cream or wash. Wash your face two times a day and rinse thoroughly. Then put on your acne medicine, but make sure there is no oil. If there is, i suggest getting differin. It really works. I had the SAME problem and i had tried so many things that never did anything but dry up my skin which led to endless peeling! However, remember NEVER to pop pimples or black heads! This only spreads the acne.
I went to a barber shop and they took out my blackheads. It hurt like hell.
    proactive works the best
before u apply that clean your face with good astringent

    surely it will work

    still if no

then use something which has glycolic acid
get a portable facial vacumn, most good drug stores have them
your doctor will have some good stuff otherwise you can squeeze em out and risk scars. which may not be worth it.
OMG this is the funniest day on Yahoo Answers ever!!!
if you use make-up you should stop for a lil while to le our skin breath, try face masks, and witchhazel and tea tree oil is brilliant

    Unclogging pores?

What are the best ways to unclog pores?

Is there any way to shrink any large/noticeable pores?

And how do I know if my pores are clogged?

I have clear skin, so I definitely want to keep it that way and hopefully improve the look of my skin easily. Tips about pores would be appreciated.Unclogging pores?
I agree with the steam thing 100%, it's an old method and a very good and safe one. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is putting alcohol on your face if you don't want it to get all irritated and break out. Your oil glands could overreact to anything harsh, and start overproducing and make you greasy, or your skin could dry out and flake which is always really gross on someone's face, heh.

I use an all-natural organic nonfoaming facewash. I've yet to find anything that foams and doesn't have anything either carcinogenic or just plain toxic in it. I also use a soft-but-textured washrag to help remove dead skin without using harsh chemicals or any of that peel-off crud. Pores freak out when there is dead skin stuck all over :P

Also, being around things like cigarette smoke, fumes, etc always makes my face appear a little funky when I get up-close and personal in my oh-so-ocd magnifying mirror ;)Unclogging pores?
The best way is steaming your face, if you have a gym that has a steam room-do that, it does wonders for your skin.

toner and astringent also helps to unclog the pores as well as using an exfoliating face wash. if you dont have an exfoliating fash wash using sugar works also.

and if you dont have acess to a steam room you can always boil water, put a towel over your head and the bowl of water as well....and there you have a homemade face steamer...you can also buy facial steamers at beayty stores, I bought one from CVS
Fill a bowl with hot water (not so hot that it's boiling or will burn you) and stick your face over it with your head covered by a towel for a few minutes. This will open your pores. Then use a pore cleansing agent (Biore makes good ones i've heard) and cleanse your pores with that. Afterwards splash your face with cool water and moisturize to keep you skin soft and hydrated. Doing this will cleanse your pores and help to make them smaller and less visible.
I use Biore nose strips and self-heating mask to pull those suckers outta there, then close up my pores ^^ (so theyre less visible and more dirt won't go in)

Of course, don't do it right after the other :0 Do nose strips about once every 1.5 weeks and self-heating mask 2 times a week or so ^^

Just started doing this a few weeks ago and seen major progress. Good luck!
Boil water with salt in it.

    Place it on a counter.

put your head over it with a towel over your head to make like a tunnel for the steam.

    steam for about 10 minutes.

This should open the pores so you can ';scrub'; them with a nice astringent.
Check out these terrific pore-shrinking masks:

    http://myblogonbeauty.blogspot.com/2008/鈥?/a>
All I use on my face is Dove facial scrub with an exfoliating granual in it. Works great! I have large pores on my nose and they are a lot smaller since I have started using the Dove.
definitely do the steam thing it really works! but make sure when you are done you do not forget to close the pores with alcohol or some type of astringent!

I've had two inflamed pores for over 2-4 years (or at least I think they are inflamed).. They sometimes appear smaller, but then they grow larger and are filled with sebum. I don't know how to get rid of them.. any suggestions?Inflamed pores won't go away..?
see a dermatologist and i being using proactive. Aspirin also get rid of acne. Break them until they turn powder. 2 U'll need a boiling hot water. and a towel. 3 U'LL need to put your face in the steam and cover the towel over your head. At least as long as you can because that will open your pores. Then apply the aspirin. Leave on for 5 minutes. Yeah try this at least 3 times a week. As long ur not allergic to aspirin. This probably the cheapest way on getting rid of acneInflamed pores won't go away..?
I am a Registered Nurse and I specialize in skin care and teen acne.

What you have is acne and you really need to take care of it and educate yourself on it.

Your question is very broad and you need to get professional advice. I will explain why it's a broad question!

Your age plays a role! How old are you? Do you always have breakouts?

However, acne can result from several factors such an increase in hormone levels. In males testosterone or androgens. In females, androgens respectively. The increase in androgen levels can stimulate the oil glands to become enlarged and thus more oil production is produced. An increased oil production can clog the pores with oil or sebum ( white thick substance) which cause the cell walls of the pores in the skin to breakdown. This process allows bacteria to form and thus breakouts develop.

Genetics may also be a cause. It is a myth that greasy food or chocolate causes breakouts.

However, using make-up sponges that are not changed or washed often can contaminate the pores with bacteria which may develop into acneic breakouts.

If you are a teenager ( which I assume that you are) your hormones play a definite role in your breakouts.

If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.

The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.

The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.

Your skin type is different than mine and your age differs from mine so how is it logical that we both use the same skin product for breakouts. We need different strengths of cleansers and toners. Do you kind of understand what I am getting at?

Here is my STRONG SUGGESTION for you. I refer all my students and patients to this website:

    www.aboutyourskincare.com

You need to consult with professionals and on this website YOU CAN ASK QUESTIONS FOR FREE AND A SKIN EXPERT/PHYSICIAN WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. It would be a shame if you dont take advantage of this free service.

Lastly, they have incredible products for breakouts and they make them specifically for every kind of skin type. That means that if your breakouts are more severe than mine, than while we both will buy the same product yours will have stronger ingredients than mine will.

They have a mild glycolic acid cleanser that's great for your type of skin and also a DRYING LOTION ( I have 3 bottles) that you put directly on your breakouts and the next day it's gone. It's truely magic in a bottle.

A basic guideline for properly taking care of your skin is this ( now if you're a young girl you will need fewer products than this):

    Night time:

    1. Exfoliate the skin

    2. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    3. Mild Glycolic Acid Toner ( cleans off the excess debris and balances the PH level of the skin).

    4. Drying Lotion used only on breakouts

    5. Moisturizer

    Morning:

    1. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    2. Moisturizing cream

The above is a standard you may need to only use one or two products. Visit: www.aboutyourskincare.com

As I suggested and click on the ASK FOR FREE section send them an email and you will get free expert skin care advice.

You can also read up on acne at: www.aboutacneproblems.blogspot.com

    Good Luck to you,

HOWEVER, my niece had a pimple on the tip of her nose and it was a skin cancer of sorts.

Go to a doctor and make sure you get a biopsy done. Strongly recommend that you do.

    Smaller pores???

my pores are becoming insanely huge, is there a way 2 make them smaller, quickly for the long run too, is it true like cold places or ice helps, does it help 4 long time??? thnx 4 da answers no dumb ones though???Smaller pores???
It depends on how old you are, and how oily your skin is naturally.

One main reason that pores get bigger, is from not 'squeezing' the oil out of your sweat glands by scrubbing or ';exfoliating'; you skin often enough.

If you've ever seen wealthy old people with plastic-looking faces, it's because they have had either chemical or abrasive treatments to remove their skin a bit at a time so that it re-grew smoother each time.

The thing to do for most people is to use an exfoliating treatment every few days.

It scrapes your skin, which then re-heals a bit smoother, with smaller pores as time goes on, and keeps your pores open to keep from clogging up and getting bigger..Smaller pores???
use a pore refining toner or astringent on your pores in the morning, before applying makeup. it completely shrinks your pores. but if you use astringent make sure you ONLY apply it to the areas with the large pores. if you put it all over your face daily, it will get really dried out.

i use astringent every morning around my nose to shrink my pores. it works really good.

    Open pores?!?

Has anyone got any info on how i can disguise or minimize the look of open pores thanks.Open pores?!?
close them with cold waterOpen pores?!?
im not dead happy with the best answer as it could have been better, meaning more detail instead of just ';close them with cold water'; the best answer by far i have had is definately the one by jen. Report Abuse

first u need to clean them. open = hot water

    cold=closed

    v
    1. Wet a washcloth with very warm or even hot water - you can also use a steaming machine or put your face over a boiling pan of water

    2. Put on face/nose (this will open pores even more)

    3. Repeat if the washcloth doesn't stay warm.

    4. Lightly clean out your nose pores by squeezing them- white stuff should come out if you've never done it before

    5. Rub ice cubes all over your face and it will shut your pores. Also you can put your face in the freezer air for a little or just use ice cold water on a washcloth.

Foundations also can minimize pores when applied with a sponge. Next time your shopping look for a pore cleaning scrub.

    Sun damage...lines & wrinkles...dry...acne...large pores...?

Who has the time to apply all the crap (letting set-in 10 minutes before blah, blah.) !!

And at night too??? Which ';problem'; needs the most attention?? How do I choose??

Isn't there one GOOD daytime and 1 GOOD nighttime moisturizer out there????Sun damage...lines %26amp; wrinkles...dry...acne...large pores...?
    Well, let's see....

    I'd try this:

Don't use any bar soap because that will clog your pores and aggravate the acne.

Then, I'd use an 8% Alpha hydroxy acid (glycolic acid) once a day. Neutrogena makes one that also has SPF 15. This will help get rid of the sun damage, make the lines and wrinkles appear smoother, and allow your moisturizer to penetrate your skin better. It won't solve the acne or large pores, but because it's going to help get rid of the other three, I'd try it first.

You can find more about AHAs here: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article鈥?/a>Sun damage...lines %26amp; wrinkles...dry...acne...large pores...?
The combination of Tea Tree Oil soap and the Clindamycin cream is the best for Acne and pimple.

For acne scars and blemishes my wife lighten them up using papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are available online. These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too. Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'
go 2 http://janmarini.com/. then find the section ';Skin Care Management System'; and buy a lotion from the list tat appeared. it really works!!! but expensive! its worth it! hope tat helps, good luck!

    Clean pores??

whats the best way to clean out pores? i have big pores...and they get clogged. i know i cant make them smaller, but how do i keep them clean?Clean pores??
You can buy a scrub remover that opens and cleans your pores.

Or boil some hot water and pour it into a basin and place your face over the basin and let the steam open your pores for five minutes. Use with caution.Clean pores??
use mud masks...not the cheap ones. go to the body store

and buy a good mud mask tretment.

also heating up ur pores doesnt do anything in the long run. exfoliate but not too much...and buy creams that help to tighten pores.

there arent any home remedies for this so ur gonna have to spend some cash!!

p.s: dont exfoliate too much....it'll make ur skin produce more oil and makes ur pores huge.

    good luckkk!
if you use an exfoliater it will help to help clean your pores it may make them smaller. i have big pores too i just wash and moisturize you face twice a day everyday it keeps them smaller. i also use bare minerals so my pores get clogged.
if your a girl, try not to wear your hair pulled up in a ponytail because it stretches out your forehead and opens your pores wider...and basically just wash your face 3 times a day if you can. try neutrogena, its good.
Exfoliate with a beta hydroxy acid. This will cut through any oil in the pores and stop blackheads/whiteheads from forming.
Wash with warm water. That opens your pres.

    Clean with soap.

Then wash with cold water. This closes your pores.
    wash with soap and water

    Inflamed pores on forehead?!!!?

well my skin is pretty sensetive and usually dry, especially in the summer.

a few hours ago, i was wiping sweat off my face from running, and i noticed a few bumps on my lower forehead (near the middle of my eyebrows) and i tried to pick at them.

i know its terrible. its such a habit, and usually i try not to, but i wasn't even thinking about it.

now my forehead is very inflamed, red, and puffy! what do i do? i can't go out and buy anything now, and to be honest, I don't want to. products are usually way too harsch on my skin (even the ones labeled ';for sensetive skin.)

plus, i already touched them. i don't want to put anything on, because that can cause more redness and irrittation.

when will the red go away? i'm going to a literature banquet tommorow, and i don't want three huge red spots on my face.

    HELP!!!Inflamed pores on forehead?!!!?
This may be too late of an answer but it could be caused from the sweat and heat. Could be something minor like a heat rash. Usually cooling off and putting a cool rag on the area will help with the redness and inflammation. You could also be having an allergic reaction to something you may have touched. If it hasn't gotten any better by now, I would check with your doctor just to be safe. It doesn't sound like anything serious, but there may be something they can give you to help it clear up faster.

    Enlarged pores!?

i have really bad enlarged pores and some of them are like scars now. How can i get rid of the scars and close my pores up so they are smaller?? Help me!Enlarged pores!?
Use a facial mask daily and if they are bad scars u can use Mederma.Enlarged pores!?
All of the suggestions are temporary. See a dermatologist (Most insurance will cover). They will have more intense treaments.
    1.Exfoliant 鈥?use 2-3 times per week

2.Wash face with a Facial Cleanser and warm water. Rinse.

3.Rub entire face with ice cube or splash cold water onto face. This step helps to minimize pores.

    4.Toner. Witch Hazel works great.

5.Moisturizer. I use Shea Butter Cr猫me. It does not leave a greasy feeling and makes my skin very soft.

Do the above steps twice a day.

If you use makeup make sure to use natural makeups. I use Affordable Mineral Makeup. Some mineral makeups contain Bismuth Oxychloride which will enlarge your pores. So be careful.
squeezing blackheads can cause ur pores to become bigger.that's what happened to me.there is really nothing u can do about it.just don't squeeze them anymore.
    Bior茅庐 Pore Minimizing Collection works!
I would say go with a pore minimizer and use a moisturizer everytime after you shower.
i really really suggest you invest and buy a pore minimizer serum from clinique. its really really good. i apply it before putting on make uo because it helps close the pores and allows make up to go on smoothly. to get rid of scars, get a concentrated whitening essence(i use estee lauders). what this does is to like gently peel off the scars and it allows new skin to form.. so you'll have smoother skin and a\smaller pores. oh and one more thing, make sure u never ever not in a million years use anything that has alcohol in them because all it does is to enlarge ur pores. hope that helps.

and after you're done, splash cold water on your face, this helps to close the pores and minimize the appearance.
enlarged pores are caused by dirt inside of them. wash your face daily with an all natural soap. then after use toner on your face and neck. people make the mistake by not cleaning their neck. if your neck, which is right next to your face, isnt clean why bother washing your face? then apply lotion to your neck and face. hope it helped.
Buy Murad. That stuff works hella good.

    Opening pores??!!?

I have heard steam helps in opening pores, so how to take steam?Opening pores??!!?
What i do to open my pores is take a huge bowl and fill it with really hot water.

Then stick your face into the bowl and let the steam go to your face, but do not put it in the water.

When your face is in the bowl put a towel or large washcloth over your head so the steam does not escape.

Also just to let you know splashing warm water on your face will open the pores a little.

    i hope my question helped.

    -Taylor :DOpening pores??!!?
lol. Luckily, I cook rice EVERYDAY and the hot steam always comes up at the top when it is being cooked. So, I just put my face over it and the steam do open my pores. Very convienent if you have rice cooker and use it. The steam is a lottt hotter then boiled water.
you can buy a facial steamer or take a HOT shower and keep the doors in the bathroom closed. this will make a lot of steam. then wash your face and after make sure u put cool water on your face so your pores close and you don't get dirt in them.
Another way to take steam is to boil a pot of water and get a towel to put over the back of your head to kind of make a tent over the boiling water with the towel and your face... It helps to clean them. Careful though it gets hot!
Put a towel in hot water ring out the excess water and hold it on your face (make sure its not hot enough to burn you) Your pores will open. If I may ask why do you want to open your pores?
Pores do not open and close, but steam is good for them. Just turn the hot water on in your sink and wait for the steam to come from the hot water and put your face in it. Hope this helps :)
Take a hot shower, and the steam from that should open up your pores.
Go to your local gym, which probably has a steam room.

What can i do for the open pores of my face? it looks bad.my make up gets into them.skin is oily. i'm 23 years

My pores are the same way. I've been using the neutrogena home microderm abrasion kit and it works very very well. I also have a topic steroid from my doctor that helps close the pores down when it gets too bad. Using a pore cleaning face wash will further help (I use clearasil pore cleanser). Good luck. What can i do for the open pores of my face? it looks bad.my make up gets into them.skin is oily. i'm 23 years
Try putting egg YOLK on your face and letting it dry and then wash it off....

It won't irritate your skin and it will pull out any impurities.

The lady that told me about it years ago said if I did it everyday for a month I would have perfect skin...... can't say I tried it for 30 days in a row though.

Skin pores have no muscles around them, so they can't be shrunk permanently. All you can do is keep your hand light when you apply make up, so that you don't rub it into them. And make sure you moisturise regularly, with something oil-free, so that your skin won't flake and draw more attention.
im sure you've heard it before -- but pores cannot shrink or be 'tightened' after theyve become like that ( no matter what those tricky skincare companies name their products ).

what you can do now is to make sure you remove all your makeup thoroughly before you go to bed because throughout the day, your makeup seeps into your pores and they expand that way. they say to invest in an actual makeup REMOVER.. just washing your face with a cleanser is no longer enough.

    after washing , moisturize.

i use shiseido and there's an extra step -- a softener, which basically makes your skin more dewy and willing to accept the moisturizer. (there's another tedious process for applying that 'in to out motion')

i think the best way is to invest in a whole 3 - 4 step line of products from a single brand. and pick a gentler makeup. (ie. bare essentials) goodluck to you!
Try using a home dermabrasion kit and use products for your skin type. You could also look out for pore-minimising face masks, I think Clinique and L'Oreal do them
Put your face in steam or take a hot shower then use toner or something to clean it
use NEUTROGENA DEEP CLEAN facial cleanser to wash your face daily. You can do this twice a week ( Wash your face first using NEUTROGENA DEEP CLEAN and then use a good kind of scrub face and after that put a mud mask for 5 minutes and finally rinse your face)
