Skin Problem, Problem pores?

I have quite clear skin everywhere else, except my lower cheeks and near my mouth. I seem to have spot after spot appearing, and some of them are those really deep rooted ones that take ages to come up. They are almost always big white heads. Why do I get so many spots here and how should I treat them?

Hi hun, some help from a nurse here. The bottom of the face and mouth are usually the most common places on a face to get bad spots. I used to suffer terribly when i wad younger. You can get places which a re clear and others which are really bad, its a personal thing to all different bodies, as to where abouts you get them. The ones which are big, they can stay red/under the skin and really hurt, are called 'pustules'. These normally need, depending on how bad they are, some topical (on the skin) cream or oral tablets to clear up the mild infections in them. In certains ones you will get a very strong gel and this takes some of the skin off and reveals the new skin underneath. Completely painless, but its a little annoying when the skin comes off. Teenage growing up unfortunately causes them hun! Try to your hands away from your mouth and bacteria away too, and use light make-up around your face to keep pores clear. Also, dont use strong-perfumed soaps/shower washes on your face. Anything else, drop me an email. Take care xSkin Problem, Problem pores?
Maybe you get more spots there because of sweating, its very common.

After showering your pores will be open so exfoliate, then wash with a face-wash (i used ';which, foaming face wash'; its gentle and easy to use!) and finish off with some moisturiser rubbed in very very well.

I used to have bad spot problems until i started into the above routine and now i'm being completly honest here,i get compliments a lot about my clear skin and fair face!

good luck,

hope i've helped,

Usually acne on the chin and around the mouth is hormonal. Have you started or stopped taking oral birth control? Is the acne more like a cyst, meaning it is closed and raised and takes a long time to heal?

If so, this type of acne may cause scaring, you might consider using a

cleansing system with benzoyl peroxide and a overnight spot treatment. Proactive works great.
