Function of nuclear pores?

Which of the following is a function of nuclear pores?

A) to allow DNA to leave the nucleus to go to the cytoplasm

B) to allow RNA to leave the nucleus to go to the cytoplasm

C) to allow newly synthesized protein to leave the nucleus to go to the cytoplasm

D) to allow DNA to enter the nucleus from the cytoplasmFunction of nuclear pores?
B

The DNA does not ever leave the nucleus, the nuclear envelope protects it against metabolic process and reactive by-products, therefore nuclear pores act as sentries not allowing macromolecules through the membrane, which is why the smaller RNA molecule are produced as a result of transcription as DNA as to large to leave through the pores.
