Sweating is actually good for your pores! That's why they have steam saunas and dry saunas. Sweating helps flush your pores. It gets all the sweat out, opens them up, and is sort of like an under the skin clean out.
What clogs your pores is pretty much anything else. From dirt to dust, anything can do the trick. There is so much dust in the air and when you sweat, dirt and dust may actually be more likely to stick to you. So if you don't wash your face, they may clog a pore.
A good way to avoid clogged pores is simply laying a hot rag over your face. After a few minutes, flip it over and rub your face. You don't have to wash with anything. Just the warm water. Then splash cold water on your face. This will close'em back up so stuff doesn't get in them right away. If you were going to use a face wash though, I would recommend Clean and Clear.
