I know this is stupid, but is it good to have your pores open or closed?

First of all, your porse are never closed..they couldn't be. They need to breath...your skin needs to breath. They can be bigger or smaller...the bigger they are....the more dirt can get in.....the smaller they are the less. But no matter what size...you can keep them clean and soft. Make sure you exfoliate often...and steam helps clean them up....then ice cold contracts them to make them smaller.I know this is stupid, but is it good to have your pores open or closed?
