How to hide large pores?

There are treatments that can help make your pores smaller if you wish but, meanwhile, here is an instant large pore camouflage makeup trick that will “hide” large pores. You won’t believe how it works until you try it! (We’ve all heard of applying cold water or a cold compress to shrink pores, but this is good only until your skin returns to normal temperature, which will be within a few minutes.)

1. With a soft makeup sponge, apply a makeup base to your skin. Yes – INTO the pores too. (You’ll cleanse the pores well that night and every night.) Do not use your fingers, as the makeup will streak and will not go on evenly. Also the heat from your fingers will cause the pores to open up more, which you don’t want.

2. Take a tissue now and lightly remove any excess makeup base on the surface of the skin, leaving the makeup lightly on the skin and in the pores.

3. Complete your makeup routine as usual…if you wear cream rouge this is the time to add it. Then take a clean powder puff with plenty of powder on it and PRESS the powder into the skin (and pores). DO NOT RUB the powder around on the skin; press it into the pores over the makeup base. After you have done that only then should the excess powder be gently brushed off with the powder puff or a large makeup brush.

4. Cleanse skin well that night.

Your skin will look much smoother now I bet!

How To Treat Large Pores To Make Them Smaller

There are many reasons for larger pores but here are a few things that can help reduce their size.

Use an Alpha Hydroxy Acid of at least 10% strength. We have a good one at 15%: Please go to “Skin Care” and read how this helps by regenerating the cells under the skin as well as gently sloughing off the top layers. The regeneration of these cells causes them to expand under the skin, therefore causing the skin to become tighter looking. See: CELL-abration Formula I 15% AHA.

Here’s the routine:

* At night and in the morning, deep cleanse the skin very well.

* After cleansing use a toner/astringent for deep removal of all oils and bacteria that may remain on skin after cleansing. (See our High Potency Toner-Astringent.) Apply this product with a thin washcloth, and firmly, with an upward outward motion, remove any makeup or oil that might be left on the skin. Use a white washcloth to see when skin is completely clean. The textured washcloth also stimulates the circulation while deep cleansing the skin. (You can buy a pack of white “cheap” washcloths in most stores.)

* For day: Apply a moisturizer cream and follow the makeup routine above.

* For night: Apply the Oleda® Formula l 15% AHA to help tighten the pores overnight.

Note: For a permanent reduction of large pores, consult with an MD dermatologist who is affiliated with a hospital. (You can call your local hospital and ask for a recommendation.)How to hide large pores?
