Minimizing pores?

Is there anything I can do to minimize my pores. I do put ';mud'; on my face about once every two weeks, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I have really big pores around my nose. Well they are not necessarily big, but you can tell they are open. I also make sure my face is clean and stuff, so I don't know what I am doing wrong. Help! lol Thanks!Minimizing pores?
Large Pores Treatment - Home remedies

SUGAR SCRUB

Ingredients: 1 Tablesoon each of sugar, olive oil and honey.

Wet face, apply scrub by rubbing very gently in a circular motion. Remove with water with hands only.

EGG WHITE MASK

Mix 2 egg whites with a few drops of lemon juice. Apply on face and leave on for 5-7 minutes, then rinse with hands.

Note: As egg whites dry, they linghten the skin and pull debris out of pores. Lemon is a natural fruit acid which also helps to exfoliate.

Or you may try the following to treat large pores

1) Mix almond meal with enough water to make a paste. Apply to pores for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then apply withch hazel or a solution of apple cider vinegar and water.

2) Mix table salt and buttermilk into a paste, apply on enlarged pores and massage well. Rinse with warm water.

3) Add lemon juice and a little milk to oatmeal. Apply the paste and remove after 20 minutes with water. Do not use if there are eruptions.

Tips on reducing large pores

Stop using harsh toners or astringents on the affected areas. Using these products may have a very temporary 'tightening' effect on pores, but it's extremely short-lived. In fact, harsh astringents actually encourage oil glands to over-produce oil, leading to an increase in the size of pores.

Avoid putting moisturiser on the area as the skin produces quite enough moisture and oil on its own and doesn't need more.

Makeup tips to hide the appearance of large pores

Heavy foundations will draw attention to your large pores. So, stay with a sheer, light and oil free foundation.

Apply foundation, concealer, powder and blusher in a downward motion, otherwise you'll accentuate pores by pushing colour up and into them.

Steam your face weekly

=)

how to steam your face:

Heat up water in a kettle on the stove or in the microwave. Stop heating before water boils.

Sit at a table with your face over the bowl and a towel over your head. Keep your face a comfortable distance from bowl, not so close you hurt from the heat, but not so far that nothing happens. This should open your pores.

Once the steam is finished, rinse your face with lukewarm water and a wash cloth.

I think using a daily toner is supposed to help shrink your pores.
for an at home remedie, steam face for 5-10 minutes. next take baking soda and water mixture[ just a palmful], gently apply to face, rinse with COLD water to close the pores. finish with a good lotion. i do this about once or twice a week, so you dont want to over do it and do this everday.

give it a try.... i hope this works for you!
try cliniques pore minimiser range, they have a special serum that can be applied tipocally and shrink pres, there's als ester lauder's serum which is fab and leaves skin smooth and poreless, splash face with cold water after cleansing as a simple remedy :D
Well wash your face allot. Like up to 3 or 4 times a day! Your face probably has allot of dirt that you don't know about! Scrub your face really good to destroy that access dirt.

I would recommend to do some research on some face washes. Not all face washes work. You might have really sensitive skin so make sure you make the right choice.

When you dry your face don't rub it pat it with a towel.

Break outs can also be caused by stress. I know this will sound weird but try meditating to make your stress go away.

Those face masks can also make break outs worse if they aren't good so do your research.

Fell free to e-mail me any times with questions.

I hope that helps!!

I don't have bad skin, just an area where I wanted to minimize my pores (my nose). I tried Proactive since all the commercials say how great it is and it worked really well. I've been using it ever since and only need to use it about once a week.
